What is custom about printed brackets?
In LightForce's manufacturer example, tooth-scan data and the orthodontist's plan inform individually made brackets. The printed hardware is the brackets, not every part of braces.
The scan supplies tooth information. The clinician designs treatment. Manufacture produces the brackets, with individual positioning trays for placement, followed by monitoring.
What does a custom-bracket proposal mean?
Suppose a proposal says “custom brackets based on your scan.” In this example, the phrase means hardware shaped by tooth data and the clinician's plan. The scan supplies information; it does not choose treatment. Printed hardware is a design output, not proof of achieved movement.
